A Cleanser For All Skin Types!
If you are like me, I used to think that a moisturizer was the most beneficial product for your skin health. After training with Comfort Zone however, I've learned that good skin starts with a good cleanser. Let me explain: did you know that using the right cleanser enhances the skin’s natural protective barrier against environmental impurities? Yeah, you're skin has it's own weapon to protect itself but using a cleanser allows you to boost that protection. So it's time to rethink your routine and get serious about the first step in good skin care: cleansers. And Crown's new skin care line, Comfort Zone, has a cleanser for ALL skin types. Tap the blog title to take a look!
FOR ALL SKIN TYPES:
The Essential line is Comfort Zone's core product lineup for achieving great everyday skin and the cleansers in this line are also perfect for make-up removal and exfoliation. Below are three of the cleansers from the Essential line and to get started, let's go with something to get that makeup off!
Essential Micellar Water (pictured below) is a multi-active water for cleansing face, eyes and lips in a single gesture. Fresh, light and extremely delicate, it removes make-up, clears the pores and purifies without the need for rinsing.
Suggested for everyone, especially for those who desire a multi-functional step in one gentle gesture. Suited to hot and cold climates.
HOW TO USE: Use every morning and evening.
Face and lips: apply the product to cotton pads and remove make-up with circular movements.
Eyes: apply the product to cotton pads, place on the eyes and leave to act for a few seconds,
and then proceed with removal without outward movements.
For cleansing: for deep cleansing, especially for the removal of heavy make-up, the product can be used as a second step after the cleansing milk, ensuring the complete removal of all make-up and impurities, leaving a sensation of freshness. The application can be repeated until the skin is completely clean, and if desired, the face can be rinsed with warm water.
FOR NORMAL SKIN TYPES:
Essential Milk Cleanser (pictured below) is a creamy milk cleanser with silkening action for daily use, for all skins. It removes all impurities and make-up, respecting the skin’s equilibrium and restoring its natural luminosity. Suggested for both hot and cold climates.
HOW TO USE: Use every day for all skin types, apply to dry skin, massage with circular movements. Remove with warm water.
Essential Face Wash (pictured below) is a creamy-foam cleanser for complete removal of impurities and make-up, respecting the skin’s equilibrium and restoring its natural luminosity. With an active ingredient called Betaine, a natural extract derived from sugar beets, it contains polar molecules that bind to your skin helping retain moisture.
This cleanser is particularly suited to young, normal and combination skins and for those who are not especially sensitive or dehydrated. Ideal in hot, humid climates.
HOW TO USE: Use every morning and evening, emulsify the product in your hands with water to create a soft foam. Massage into the skin, avoiding the eyes, and then remove with warm water.
FOR OILY SKIN:
Active Pureness Gel (pictured below) is a cleansing gel with exfoliating action that purifies and normalizes oily, acne-prone skin. Thanks to the presence of purifying actives, the gel deeply cleanses the epidermis and clears the pores. Recommended for male skins and in hot, humid climates.
HOW TO USE: Apply to dry skin, massage delicately for a few seconds and then carefully rinse. Avoid the eye area. It is suitable to use under the shower on the areas of the body that are prone to impurities.
WARNINGS
The 3% percent of gluconolactone permits the use of this product in the summer months, but to ensure complete protection, it is recommended to apply an SPF cream afterwards.
FOR SENSITIVE SKIN:
Remedy Cream to Oil (pictured below) is fragrance-free and has an innovative texture that transforms during its use. The initial phase, which is creamy and easily massaged, mechanically removes the skin's impurities. The oily phase, which completes the cleansing, leaves the skin soft and velvety.
For skins which are sensitive, sensitized and prone to redness, this cream-to-oil is ideal for dry, dehydrated skins and harsh climates.
HOW TO USE: The product is very concentrated and therefore only a small amount is required. Apply directly to dry skin and massage with circular movements to favor the transformation phase. Remove with warm water, avoiding contact with the eyes.

How To Apply Mineral Makeup
Plenty of women will admit that they're mineral makeup doesn't go on like their old makeup does. This post gives you tips to achieve the perfect face, so you can enjoy all the benefits of wearing mineral makeup.
post written by Jane Iredale Cosmetics
We get very few complaints about our mineral powders which are a foundation, concealer, sunscreen and powder all in one. But below are some challenges we sometimes hear and what we suggest to solve them. Usually, it requires just a simple adjustment. Switching to a powder that’s applied in small amounts and gives instant coverage may take some suspension of disbelief as well as some practice.
We always recommend that the brushes that were designed for these powders be used. This isn’t just to sell product – the results are visibly better. Although we made our name with our mineral powders, we have since introduced a tinted moisturizer, Dream Tint, an anti-aging liquid foundation, Liquid Minerals, and a Full-Coverage BB Cream, Glow Time. Whatever you choose -- enjoy!
"Too Much Shine"
Use a primer! We have two – Smooth Affair and Smooth Affair for Oily Skin. They will help to control shine and give more even coverage without a lot of work. Choose PurePressed which is more matte than Amazing Base. Remember that working the minerals too much tends to separate the individual minerals and pull the one that creates the glow to the surface. It’s easy to avoid this by applying the minerals in thin layers in downward strokes with the brush. Keep adding layers until you get the coverage you want. Then spritz with one of our facial sprays and blot. To eliminate any shine in the middle of the day, apply PureMatte or Amazing Matte. They don’t build product and will keep things looking matte and natural.
“My Pores and Fine Lines Look Worse”
Use our primer Smooth Affair or Smooth Affair for Oily Skins before applying the mineral powders to even out pores and fine lines. Apply PurePressed Base or Amazing Base with a brush. Spritz with one of our facial sprays and blot, or mix the loose powders into a moisturizer and make a cream foundation. Apply it with fingers or a sponge. If the powders appear to accentuate lines under the eyes, dampen a cotton pad with one of our facial sprays and gently press it on the problem area, or gently dab on a small amount of moisturizer. It’s OK to add moisturizer after the minerals have been applied.
“Uneven and Blotchy”
This is usually because the minerals have been applied before the moisturizer has been absorbed or because the moisturizer being used only lays on the surface of the skin. The simple solution is to wait a minute for the moisturizer to disappear or to blot any excess. Our BeautyPrep Moisturizer was designed to be the ideal base for our foundations. Or try one of our facial sprays as a substitute moisturizer for oily skin. Also, some unevenness can be attributed to sponge applicators that do not “move” on the skin. This is why, if a sponge is used, we recommend our Flocked Sponge. It’s the only sponge we've found that blends the powders and does not drag. The sponge in the pressed compacts is only meant for touch-ups.
“Wrong Color”
This was probably chosen in poor lighting. The best way to test for the right color is to do it on the jaw line in daylight. The color should disappear if it blends perfectly with the skin. An easy way to begin is to test Natural and Amber. They both have the same value, but Natural has a pink undertone and Amber a yellow. You will be able to see quickly whether to try a lighter or darker base and which undertone best complements the skin. Find your perfect foundation and shade with our Foundation Finder Quiz.
